Pranbondhu Biswas

Pranbandhu Biswas was born in 1953 in Rajbari District. He obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. degree in Botany from Rajshahi University in the year of 1974 and 1975 respectively (Exams were held in 1976 & 1977 due to Liberation War and Session Jam). He joined in Kamarkhali Shaheed Abdur Rouf Degree College, Faridpur as a lecturer in Biology in the month of August, 1977 before his M.Sc. result was published. He got NCST Fellowship for doing M.Phil. Degree at Rajshahi University in the month of December, 1978. In the year 1981 he joined Cadet College services in Barishal Cadet College as a lecturer. He did his B.Ed. Degree in the year 1988. He wrote many articles in the Daily Sangbad and Bigyan Samoyekee. A textbook of Higher Secondary Biology (1st paper, Botany), English Version written by him was published (1st edition) by Mullick Brothers in 2008. He retired from his Cadet College service on 31 December, 2010. After getting retirement from the Cadet College service as a Vice Principal in Sylhet and Barishal Cadet Colleges, he joined as a Principal in The Sylhet Khajanchibari International School & College, Sylhet on 16th January, 2011. Since then he has been serving in SKISC with utmost sincerity. The 5th Edition of his textbook has been published in the month of May 2012. The students of Biology in English version School & Colleges all over the country are studying this book as a textbook of Biology (1st Paper, Botany).

Address of the Principal

The Sylhet Khajanchibari International School & College is the first English Medium School & College, established in Sylhet in 1987. Initially its main objective was to encourage the overseas students but later on the people of Sylhet were greatly attracted & interested with the standard of education being followed in this Institute of excellence.

The Institute is governed by a Board of Trustee of which the Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet is the ex-officio chairman. There are some prominent personalities of different professions who represent the members of the Board of Trustees. There are about 50 faculty members besides the principal & the Vice-principal. The classes start with KG-I & the uppermost class is “A” level. At the moment there are about 900 students studying in different classes.

My involvement with the Institute as a principal has given me an ample opportunity to serve here with utmost dedication & commitment. Within the tenure of my service period I feel proud that the result shown by our students of “O” & “A” Level were simply outstanding.

Apart from the well furnished class room facilities, the school has well equipped laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. In order to cope with this modern age of Information Technology, our computer lab has been equipped with sufficient computers. The latest addition in our pursuit in this direction is the opening of a web-site for the school.

We look forward towards a brighter & glorious future for the school where knowledge & technology will reign supreme.
